Mature Student starting Vet Med Accomodation

Hi everyone!

I’m a 24-year-old starting Vet Med at Bristol this September and looking into accommodation options. The university offers places in their halls and allows you to select a preference for mature student housing, but I understand there’s no guarantee who you’ll end up living with.

I’m open to living with a mix of people, but I’ve already been through uni once and done the whole “living with 20 18-year-olds in small flats and going out every night” thing so I’m hoping for a slightly more chilled living situation this time around.

I was wondering what others in a similar situation usually do is it best to accept whatever the university offers, or would it make more sense to look for private accommodation in the city? Also, if anyone else is in a similar boat and would be up for finding a place together, I’d love to chat!

Thanks in advance for the help!
