Has anyone recieved an answer for Warwick?

I applied for the university of Warwick November 2024 and they still haven’t said anything, I’m worried that they might’ve forgotten about my application. I’ve also barely received any emails or news from them. My progress mentor says that they do this every year and that they like to consider every student, that’s why they take their time; but dang A-levels are starting soon and I’ve still not got a response. Every other one of my options has given me an answer… am I cooked?

For what course have you applied?

I suspect the "they do this every year" comment only applies to a subset of courses. I know someone who applied to Warwick in October 2023 for 2024 entry and received an offer before the end of that month.

That must be frustrating for you. Like all universities, Warwick actually have until 14 May 2025 to make their offer decisions - so you shouldn't have too much longer to wait.

Accomodation shouldn't be an issue here. This is because universities are not allowed to allocate accomodation to students who've applied before others (unless the deadline for offer-holders replying to offers, 5 June 2025, has been reached).

In fact Warwick don't allocate accomodation until after A level results day, at which point conditional offers should have become unconditional (as the conditions - the grades - have been met). They confirm that fact here where they say, "The majority of applications for students holding an unconditional firm offer are allocated through a computer ballot which aims to match students to one of their six campus hall preferences. This ballot will take place after 20 August 2024 for students who have met all three guarantee conditions outlined above, this will determine which halls students are allocated..."

Are you applying somewhere which operates a first-come first-served accommodation policy, or similar, in breach of UCAS rules?

Thank you for your response! I was actually thinking of applying to accommodations that are further away (closer to Coventry university) as it’s way cheaper. I had thought of Canvas Coventry Arundel House, Calcott Ten and Merlin Point. I don’t mind the 30-40 mins bus ride (as it’s the same from my house to my current college) but I’ll also check out the ones near Warwick.
The issue is that I still need to book accommodation from my other universities; if I don’t get an offer from Warwick then I’ll have to start searching for accommodation in Durham (as it’s another one of my options) but I’m scared that by the time they reply; then I won’t have as much options for accommodation in Durham (I want an en suite not very expensive). Thanks for your reply! I guess I’ll just have to be patient and wait

Same I applied for PPE in October Still haven’t heard back. I was thinking about firming Warwick and insuring Durham but guess we just need to wait. What are your grades?
