it was pretty good

I wrote 60 for the moles question but then I crossed it out - it was right but I hesitated and changed it. Can I still get the full marks if they can read my answer?

Brother where did you get 60 moles? It was concentration. You have to do mass over volume. First convert the25 then multiply to find mass. Am I wrong or something?

You just multiply the 5 by 12 to get 60. They gave you 5 moles - they wanted the mass in KJ. - 60

Sorry can you remind me of the question? The only time I remember multiplying any number with 12 was for the Buckminsterfullerene but that was asking in kg not moles. Sorry I have pretty !bad memory I am running on like 3 hours of sleep.

I can't remember - it was towards the end of the paper - I think it was the buckministerfullerene one. Maybe I was remembering 5 moles. My point was i got 60 initially and wrote it on the answer line but scribbled it out as I divided it instead and put my new answer (0.135 or something), on the answer line. Can they still mark my 60, as it is correct?/how many marks?

Sorry, but if you are referring to the Buckminsterfullerene 60 wasn’t the answer. The correct answer was 3.6 if my memory serves me correct. If you did do some working out such as 12x60=720 720x5 and 3600 divided by 1000 you should get some marks. I am just confused as that question asked for the mass in kj so I didn’t know what you meant by 60 moles I never wrote a single answer as 60 moles

To answer the second half of your question, no. The examiners will only mark what has not been crossed/ scribbled out. Are you triple? I just don’t remember I think it just me running on low sleep. Sorry if I couldn’t be of no assistance.

for the buckminsterfullerene one I got 3600? was I supposed to convert it? I thought my answer was too big 😂

Reply 15

also I got -467 for the bond energy question? but quite a few people got a positive answer?

Yes it was asking for it in kg. As mass is in grams you have to convert it
