More feasible to find work, as a Brit, as a solicitor or a geologist?

I'm asking as an A-Level student.
You can become a solicitor with a geology degree, but you can't become a geologist with a law degree.

Since that's obviously the implicit question you're asking - which degree to do.

I wasn't trying to be implicit but you make a good point anyway. What's the path of working in Law in Australia with a Geology degree?

Well regardless of whether you did an law degree in the UK or a geology degree here, you'd still need to do a relevant Australian legal qualification in order to qualify as a lawyer there. Law is jurisdictional - you generally ought to aim to do your qualifying law degree in the country you intend to practice in. It's also worth bearing in mind as this is a UK site primarily catering to those studying in the UK you might find more limited information about working in Australia!

Worth noting mining is big in Australia and geology is the same everywhere though. If you have no scruples about blowing up prehistoric indigenous cultural sites I imagine going into mining geology in Australia is fairly lucrative.
