Full diagnostic report for DSA

Hi! I'm applying for DSA for the upcoming academic year, and I'm slightly unsure what documents they're requesting. I have specific learning difficulties, so I've been asked to provide a "full diagnostic report" carried out by a psychologist or specialist teacher.

Is that just referring to my diagnosis letter? I have the letter from my old paediatrician where she writes that I've been officially diagnosed with my conditions (and about the assessments carried out that led her to those conclusions), but I've heard from some people I know that it's not what I'm being asked for, and that I have to pay to get a new report written by a psychiatrist that details literally every single struggle I have relating to my learning difficulties?

They need evidence of your diagnosis and where your diagnosis originated from. So these would be the assessments/reports carried out that determined your diagnosis of specific learning difficulties.

So the final report from the paediatrician should be okay?

I might be wrong but from what I’ve seen, it seems like they need a recent letter to talk about how your condition affects your day-to-day life. So I’m not sure if a diagnosis letter would be enough.

Mine was a diagnostic letter and that sufficed!

In case anyone with the same question ever comes across this thread: My letter of diagnosis was accepted as evidence, and my DSA got approved! The letter is a few years old now, and doesn't really talk about how my conditions affect my day-to-day life much at all (there's a one-sentence mention of me having "some issues at school", but that's it), so seems like they were just wanting proof of a diagnosis.

Thanks for updating this, I am in a similar situation and was wondering what to send so this has really helped.
