How do ppl get unconditional offers

Just wondering how that’s possible other than already having done your a levels lol bc I only just found out that unconditional offers exist and are possible

Unconditional offers tend to only happen with mature students who have done their a levels and access course so have no variables coming up, the other time is if you have something to offer the uni outside of studies, these are incredibly rare. I knew a guy at my uni who had an unconditional offer because he was a semi-pro rugby player, he failed his first year 3 times. I got an unconditional offer from one uni, the course was so over subscribed they were offering unconditional offers to some people for the following year.

I knew someone who got an unconditional as he did music t-level and had played the guitar since he was like 4. I also know someone else who is super smart and only got a conditional for 1 of his options. It honestly depends on many different categories, and unis are usually SUPER picky about it. Just getting a conditional is hard!!

Aside from 'creative' courses where such offers may be made solely on artistic promise, some really desperate Unis may still make entirely Unconditional offers - usually because they have no other way of filling a course. Ask yourself why. Beyond this sort of low level gravel, the Fair Admissions Code of Practice effectively bans the old games that some other Unis used to play - like Conditional offers that are 'Unconditional of you pick us as your Firm choice' - or any other sort of incentives,

Essentially, its now not a thing for mainstream degree courses at sensible Universities.
