Salford accommodation, what do I need to bring?

I found the us site for campus living villages where is says a few things that you need to bring but one of those said that you need to bring a shower curtain and hooks, does anyone know whether that is actually true or if that doesn’t apply to peel park?

no, you don’t need a shower curtain for peel park. You also don’t need a waste paper bin, but you will need a bathroom bin.

Hello,

It is a great question to ask what is essential to bring to university and it is a really great way to get excited and get prepared for your start in September.

In terms of the shower curtains and hooks; I am very confident that a shower curtain was provided when I moved into Peel Park Quarter (all those years ago 🥲) but I did bring my own shower hooks. Whether that is essential for you or not.

Some other essentials; hangers for the wardrobe space, duvet and pillows and their covers, any storage boxes may work as there is loads of storage space and that may help you stay organised.

Some less essential but still what I would recommend. A TV or monitor is a great addition to your room if you can afford one. A laptop stand/ keyboard and mouse if you want to snaz up your desk space. Maybe even a plant or two to make your room a little more cozy but maybe make these plants fake so you don't have to worry about watering them over holidays or weekend trips back home.

A bit one I would say is tea bags and coffee, this is a great way to start your first interaction with your new flatmates. "Anyone want a brew?" is a great way to break the ice.

I would also say not to worry too much about forgetting the odd thing or two, there are plenty of shops nearby to nip to and get the essentials that you may of missed. Your room will fill over time with more things that is just natural.

I do hope this helps and we are all excited for you to start your journey at Salford.
