worried about gcse grades- looking for some advice?

I'm a bit concerned about my grades as I want to get 7s/8s/9s in all my subjects- is it still possible?

current grades (from mocks):
- biology aqa- 8 (one away from a 9)
- chemistry aqa- 7 (one away from an 8)
- physics aqa 6 (two away from 7)
- maths edexcel 7
- geography ocr (b) 9
- sociology aqa 8
- rs aqa 9
- computer science ocr 6 (low grade 6..)
- mandarin aqa 8
- english lit + lang aqa 7 (lang-one away from 8)

Just wondering if there's any advice/ tips or any methods you use (if you take similar/ the same subjects), my worst subjects are pretty much english literature, computer science and physics. any advice or methods you can share is much appreciated, thank you!

for physics, find out what you’re really stuck on through doing past papers and then do as many practice questions as you can on those topics. if you really don’t understand it, free science lessons and cognito make good videos on science topics. but literally, do every practice question you find as they often repeat questions in future papers.

for english lit, similarly do past questions but let yourself look up quotes to start if you’re stuck as there’s no point doing questions when you don’t know what you’re writing. get your teacher or a friend to mark them and notice what you’re missing out on (eg not enough context) then focus on that in future essays

i personally prefer doing the actual essay as i sometimes realise partway through that something about the plan needs changing, as well as just being good practice at writing the essay before the exam, however essay planning is still really helpful and if you’re short on time then it’s a good idea to do that instead 🙂
