How are Joint Degrees calculated, University of Strathclyde

I do a joint degree in Politics and IR with Journalism, Media and Communication. And I am wondering how the grades for this course are determined, I am currently third year prepping for my 4th year. So I would like to do well, but I am confused as to what would be included in deciding my final grade.

Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question, however have an unconditional offer to study Politics, IR & Spanish at Strathclyde in September (joint honours).

How have you found the course, uni, Glasgow?

Hi @Emmanuel 0 🙂 Are you able to find the course handbooks on Myplace? If not I'd have a chat with your advisor of studies who might be able to give you this info. It'll be a balance between both disciplines, and you'll do your dissertation in one of the subjects which then usually means you pick up more classes from the other discipline (as your dissertation will be worth more credits). Sorry, I don't have the exact breakdown for degrees to hand so I'd recommend contacting your advisor of studies!
