Need help with eduqas a level rs question

How do I get more marks in 20 markers? The explain (e.g divine command theory) question, I've been told by the teacher to make it 3 paragraphs but even that just seems much and I feel like I have to stretch it and waffle,cause the theory sounds simple in my head. Say it's about divine command theory. Like the explanation is quite simply, the belief thay morality is whatever God commands and its teleological normative cognitive religious based etc and then I just mention a scholar and his claims to it (this is pretty much all the teacher says to do in a 20 marker) but where am I missing marks. I usually end up with only around 8 to 12 marks out of 20 and it feels like I'm not writing something down that would actually get me more marks. What else do I do to explain it more

In my exam last year I was asked to explain modified divine command theory which was a superrr short essay I still got top marks on. My advice for the topics that have less content would be to try to not simplify it don't worry about feeling as though you're over explaining as this just shows you understand what you're doing and make sure you include everything the spec asks you to know. For DCT specifically; introduce - what is it using a couple sentence summary using key words e.g morally absolutist theory para 1 - explain more in detail what it is yes it is literally just that whatever god says goes but include a few examples to bulk it out, where do these laws come from, what would a religious person following DCT do (for example they would never agree with abortion god commands thou shall not kill), maybe even explain that this is different to the likes of another theory like situation ethics which looks at individual circumstances as a pose to applying the same law to everything like DCT does para 2 - some people have an issue with DCT its arbitrary, doesn't align with nature of god etc para 3 - issues with DCT overcome by modified DCT explain this. If you are 100% that you're including absolutely everything on the spec have a look at the band descriptions and see if maybe the issue is your structure instead of your content. If you want I'd be happy to read an essay you have done.

There's a lot of depth to all these arguments and if you want high AO1 marks you've got to know and then include more detail than a simple summary.
