GEM with non IBMS accredited undergraduate biomedicine degree

hi im currently studying an undergraduate course in biomedical sciences which is non ibms accredited and im not in a russel group university either,i was wondering if being non IBMS accredited with not good a level grades ,decent gcses and non russel group university affect my chances of applying to graduate medicine.do med unis focus on your a level and gcse grades if my course isnt IBMS accredited ? is there more focus on other areas than someone applying with an IBMS accredited degree? im thinking of applying for possibly university of surrey graduate entry medicine , university of Warwick and possibly St georges but im also asking these questions in general too doesnt have to be specifically related to these universities.really struggling on finding any information ,not much i can do either at this point im currently revising for my second year finals.

IBMS accreditation is only relevant if your applying to biomedical science jobs in the nhs or anywhere else as it’s a necessary component for HCPC registration (a placement where you complete a portfolio and pass (gets you certificate of competence) + IBMS accredited degree required for this). Graduate entry medicine is separate from this so don’t worry about this it’s not a requirement nor is it a disadvantage. Although if you were ever looking to work in a laboratory in the meantime you wouldn’t be able to apply for any biomedical scientist roles only medical laboratory assistant. I hope this helps
