Gcse grades for med

I have my GCSE in a few weeks and tbh I'm really really nervous , ik i wont do badly but I'm not convinced I'm going to get all high grades and I'm worried I've just messed up any future in medicine bc this easter break revision has not been as good as i hoped. Idk what to say really ik i need 5 7s but I'm starting to doubt myself now.

GCSE are incredibly important especially if want to do medicine. When you apply for med school the first thing they check are your GCSEs (they care about English and Maths the most i think) not your A-levels, bcus most people are gonna get triple A* so it’s not a really good comparison to see who the “best” applicants are.

Your right to a certain extent, it depends where your applying some unis have a minum of 6 in English and maths. And take other things such as ucat , work experience , interview more Important. There are unis that would take you with lower gcse by that i mean like 6s.
