LOL don't worry, for what it's worth I had to go through the same thought process and scribbled it out on literally the last minute. Shame that the question was so mark-dense if you didn't get it tho

Exactlyyyy if you got that one thing wrong the whole question is shot. I wonder if there was some sort of error carried forward mark for that

What are grade boundaries going to be like then ?

Depends on Paper 3 but if it's fairly normal then I reckon a little bit below what they typically are, maybe by a few % seeing as how people reaaalllly hated Paper 1. Paper 2 is just...a Paper 2. Didn't really seem too out of the ordinary minus a distinct lack of knowledge dump questions.

I think it's about the actual rank of the data point (largest to smallest) - I think that if 2 values are the same, you take the mean of the ranks they would be (e.g 2 and 3) making the rank 2.5 (yes, as I wrote this response I've realised that I put down the wrong answer - well, I already knew, was just in too much of a frenzy to be able to rectify it)

yeah it is the rank i agree and about how the decimal values came about- i just remember i saw two values next to each other that didn't make sense together rank wise but i might've been seeing things esp bc it was tight on time close to the end so its probably nothing lol

So far it should be similar to 2024 because paper 1 was equally as hard and paper 2 was also a lot easier

4marker about myogenic stimulation and how it works at rest, 3marker was how does DNA replication work, 3marker was the function of mitochondria, RER, and Golgi (in liver cells), 3marker on evaluating your Spearman's rank coefficient value, can't remember anymore

San depolarised, atria contract
Delay
Spread to avn
Bundle of his
Then purkyne fibres and ventricles contract

Not sure if this was right but what I put was that baroceptors and chemioreceptors would detect the lack of carbonic acid (dissolved CO2) and nondilated blood vessels which would signal to the (i forget which brain bit i put) to regulate the release of neurotransmitters and hormones that would affect heart rate, slowing it down.

I wasn't sure if this was right though so I quickly scribbled down a mention of how cardiac stimulation works.

Yeah I basically said this but (although forgot to mention AVN, and they usually take bundle of His and Purkyne all the same anyways) but wasn't sure if that's what they meant so I also went on to talk about how the brain affects heart rate at rest 😭

Beautiful paper. I have no idea what paper 1 was on. We've had one horrible paper, one beautiful paper, now we just have to see what they cook up for paper 3.
