i just wrote about kpop generally like i think i said about how the number of groups are increasing due to the companies creating more groups per year to keep up with current trends, but i think i also said that kpop has a global fandom so polycentric was good as it truly is a global industry,,, i had NO idea what ethocentric or polycentric marketing was icl

not even joking i literally mentioned seventeen. i loved that 20 marker it was so easy to talk about polycentric and ethnocentric approach for UMG.

genuinely was so annoyed with this paper. timing was off so badly i need to do a debrief oh my dayss
hoping other ppl talked about the same stuff as i did, not sure what im getting anymore....

section A
8 marker - talked about how ai would lose millions to record labels because they can use ai to mix and master and produce songs individually, loss of millions for labels but then i countered about TTPD's sales volumes etc, then i talked about independent artists and tiktok basically meaning more arent using labels for marketing but on their own they are
10 marker - staying small means less competition cause they do effective research but also risk of future comp cause dynamic market, customer loyalty and repeat purchases because they tailor to what the consumer wants, excellent customer services
12 marker - RTR should sell more vinyls, increased demand, economies of scale when purchasing from warehouses = tailor to customers, then i said about reducing profit shares bc they have high wages and bonuses and use those shares to invest into the 6 stores because dynamic market so do it now (?????)
20 marker - polycentric with new cultures and rising trends in emerging markets like the indonesian and chilean artists, countered with high costs for tailored marketing etc, ethnocentric spoke about taylor swift, economies of scale and because of eras tour meaning global reach helps with market share etc but its only successful with the biggest of the biggest and missed first mover advantages?

section b
8 - did one motive, one trait 😕 - one was gap in market with indie rock and folk, then i said another motive was to continue being resilient and commit?
10 - talked about the environmental pledge the £1 cup thing countered with how ppl will bring their own cups and litter, then briefly talked about the social responsibility of funding war protection projects improves branding then i blanked out didnt write anymore
12 - competitive environment = more need for usp and differentiations i think? then talked about another impact being likely business failure brought in some stats like the 190/600 or something
20 - died here, ticket prices because they had leeway as reading etc are more expensive, clear demand so can improve sales revenue from the 3.6m already, countered with the fact festivalgoers might not justify as reading is £10 more for mainstage acts like sam fender and tickets are luxury so gonna choose reading over , increase capacity because its clear people want these meaning sales revenue then countered with how effective research is required as to whether more than 15k will go (litro had 2 mins left of the paper to do counter + mops)

this was ok but worse than the other 2...

yeh has to be 36% and 3% …. Because the gross is always larger than the operating profit😂 idk where 89% come from

Did you HAVE to show your calculations for anything in the last 20, or could you get away with not showing, I did some calculations for extra application and analysis marks, but timing was so tight that I couldn't write my working out.

Yh the 20 marker it doesnt matter its a bonus unlike the first 12 marker where you needed the calculations for application you'll get marks for context knowledge etc same with theorists like porters and ansoffs which were useful in the first and second 20 marker it pushes you up levels

Oh alright thank you, that's really good to know. Timing on that paper makes no sense mostly because of the 8 markers. You're doing more work than in paper 1 and 2 in the same time frame essentially.
