how you feeling for p2?

i feel 50/50 so long as nothing catches me tooo off guard i think i should be fine, the one good thing about chem is the questions tend to be standard or at least appear to be, how about you?

What do you mean by "tend to be standard"? Like are the questions from previous years related to this year? (Asking for paper 1, 2 and 3 separately)

i mean the questions (in my opinion) are very predictable compared to other subjects
like for instance, we know we're 9 times out of 10 going to get a Hess cycle, transition elements long answer question and like a 4 marker on redox in paper 1, a large organic synthesis map 8/9 marker in paper 2 and probably an NMR or titration in paper 3!

Ohh!! That makes so much sense. Thank you so much. Do you know where I can get these types of predictions (What topics have a higher chance of coming up)? Chemistry 2025 prediction videos or is there something else?

Ooh that's really helpful! Thank you so much.

no worries 🙂 and i think i've just figured this out from doing lots of past papers aha, i think the main thing is nothing should be too unusual looking if patterns follow that of previous years (that is, questions being pretty similar) x

Same here. If it's anything like the 2015 paper then I'm truly done for (my school talks about it like it's a horror movie)

Ikr. My teachers were saying people who were predicted A*s at the time came out saying that they had genuinely failed bc there was no hope in that paper. Even my teachers agreed.

I hope paper 2 is harder so the grade boundaries aren’t as high lmao

yeah lowkey but just not harder for me😭

Reply 18

Same. Paper 2 is generally my weaker paper (although I'm doing my best to change that).
