How is everyone revising so close to the exam ?? i feel like practise questions aren’t always most effective as you only cover a few points…

For me, l'm trying to memorise as much as possible, for the final question (I'm doing Woyzeck) I'm memorising my opening paragraph which I can adapt to any question, you can do the same for the other questions too. I'm mostly using revision resources from my teacher that are tailored to the plays we're studying. Sorry if this isn't very helpful!

we did a session in class where we came up with introductions for each section that we can adapt to the question/statement. defo really helpful for me as i tend to freeze in exams, so knowing immediately what to write down helps get me in the flow of it

For section B and C, flipping to a random page in the texts and bullet pointing/ thinking about performance/design/ director choices really helps for me. Especially focusing on important points in the plays that haven't been set yet.

I'm well worried bout this exam; I need an A and I feel like this may be where I stumble 😭

Praying past papers, Brecht facts and pre-prepared design ideas have prepared me for this.

Also, if Question 2 is not on technology or design in live theatre I will weep bc that's all my notes focus on 💀

my teacher is so sh.t at the whole course he relies on chat gpt for the 2 years we studied the subject. i do an accidental death of an anarchist for sec b and woyzeck for sec c. trying as hard to get that b minimum. does anyone have any tips? i know its late but i just saw the chat for the subject now.

I do accidental for sec b, I'm currently going over stuff like
character quotes,
the contexts around guiseppe pinelli and police corruption
then also the comedic devices like rule of 3, comic stop etc
as well as farcical conventions like absurdity and dramatic irony
Good luck!!

I do Woyzeck, I’d mainly focus on knowing features of the theatre practitioner you’re doing. So I’m doing Brecht so features like Placards, breaking the fourth wall. Make sure you know your concept really well so that whatever scene/scenes that come up you can talk about easily. Also knowing some OPC would be good, so knowing it was originally shown in a Proscenium Arch theatre. Also just having a structure to follow is really helpful

That paper was beautiful. Every question, every extract 😭
Vocal and physical skills for one or more characters for Episode 2 of Machinal was amazing.

Yo I do Woyzeck for Section C and I did the acting style question, to which I mentioned:
Gestus
Gestic images
Archetypal acting
Expressionism/Non-Naturalism
Haltung (change is base gestus

A classmate suggested a question on 'acting style' may not be the same as acting, though I argue if you stylise it then that's what they're looking for.

Thoughts on whether I will tick their boxes? 😭

So I also do Woyzeck (however I did effective spacing or whatever it was) but my classmate did that question and he said that he included pretty much the same things as you and that acting style would most likely mean acting. I definitely think you’ll tick their boxes
