Hi guys, for Hamlet - in the past for section A the scenes have been Act 2 scene 2, Act 1 scene 3, Act 3 scene 1, Act 2 scene 2 again (just because it's such a long scene), Act 5 scene 1, Act 4 scene 4 and Act 1 scene 2. This means that these scenes (although don't completely take my word for it) might not come up in the exam tomorrow. I've heard rumours that it might be Act 1 scene 1 or Act 3 scene 2 (scene where Hamlet puts on his play), but again, these are just rumours.

They haven't done the comic scenes as an extract afaik so unless it's policy not to they're probably coming up. Maybe something from Act 4 in the prison but honestly it could be anything

Thought they did A4S3 for part a in 2018 and “funny side of Vienna” for part b?

I feel like there are bigger bits to be asked like act 2 scene 2 but what are we thinking for part Bs?

Honestly no clue, many themes I thought of already came up in previous part b’s, A2S2 was in the 2017 paper I think?

Hi everyone!! I took OCR English lit last year and just wanted to say a huge good luck. Try not to stress too much about predictions because unfortunately there's no way of knowing. Last year across all of my a-levels questions were repeated from previous years. Just go in with confidence, and no matter what the question is, apply whatever knowledge you have and mould it to the question. You've been learning this course for 2 years, so there will definitely be a few things in your long term memory, apply this! You can definitely take a memorised essay plan and adapt it to any essay question, as long as you keep linking back to the wording in the question (that's what I ended up doing because I had a mind blank). After the exam, try not to compare your answers to other people if you feel like it might make you second guess yourself. Last year, I did Rossetti and Ibsen and picked a question on isolation, which no one else seemed to have done. But it still turned out great! You've got this, go and smash it!!
