i feel like nobody did the differences and similarities between hubert and vinz question but i found it really easy, for no et moi i picked the naiveté question which i also found really good. so glad there was no really difficult question for la haine as i feared

I did the other question - I didn’t revise the characters as much as the themes so it made most sense to me

i do!! i did the question on how far you agree with the statement that the film focuses on the apartment because i didn't revise jean-michel or anne-sophie at all 😭 how did you find it?

for v and h i compared the similarity in the fact that they both face prejudice in paris which exemplifies the fact that theres a bigger gap between the city and the banlieue than between them with their different skin colours, also about how both have no paternal figure and then explored how both reacted to it and how it makes them both products of the banlieue, then for my differences para i talked about how the use of black and white footage makes them even more physically different, then talked about how hubert was focused on his life goals and escaping the cycle of violence by focusing his energy on boxing whereas vinz' machoism shows that he hasn't learned to deal with anger. also the fact that hubert has the motivation of boxing whereas vinz has no job and wakes up late, shown by them turning up to the boxing gym and hubert already being there. wbu ?
