how did everyone find it? I thought the livy was a lot harder than the ovid. the scansion was tricky

i thought they were both really hard- thought prose was easier than verse

i thought in the prose there were chunks where i found it hard to follow. i thought overall the prose was not bad compared to past papers. was the scansion elegaic couplets

yes it was elegiac couplets

I thought the prose was abnormally difficult - especially the first paragraph with his speech.

does anyone know how harsh they are with marking e.g. what kinds of mistakes would cause you to lose 2 marks from each 5 mark chunk

what does everyone think the grade boundaries for this paper will be - they've been going up a bit each year but hopefully won't be too much higher than 2024

It's adapted from Livy. 38. 51 - some things are shuffled around or left out though

I found the verse MUCH harder than the prose, which was relatively easy for me. Seems I'm the opposite to everyone here lmao

I was the same!!! Found the prose almost weirdly easy but completely messed up the verse, i found it soooo difficult

yes completely agree i found the verse soo hard but livy felt easier than past papers

Yeah, the scansion was from the Ex Ponto, so it was elegiac.

Same as me, though I went and read the Livy passage in translation and I think I missed the mark there as well. I’m just begging and praying that the grade boundary will lower at least a little for this year.
