Energy systems, training methods, projectile motion, mechanics of breathing

They ask EPOC every year but in diff style questions, training methods is definitely gonna come up, evaluating different types of strength, flexibility and aerobic training will be good to revise for

The question about warm up and cool down was hard but the gift of the 20 makrer made up for it

Reply 6

what do you even put for warm up and cool down

Reply 7

other than the obvious

other than the obvious

The literal only thing I could think of is increased temperature in warm up increases elasticity of connective tissues so therefore reduces injury risk and in the cool down something to do with removal of lactic acid... I really don't see how we were supposed to write a whole 6 marks on it

Talked about DOMS and blood pooling for the cool down not sure if it’s right though

The one point I think that is right that I wrote was that it increases muscle elasticity so decreasing the likelihood of injury

Exactly what I wrote

The other factor is venous return!

What was the 20 marker on guys?

Newton's laws of motion in relation to a sprinter
Plyometric strength training in relation to a sprinter
And the physiological, neural and metabolic adaptions that you gain from plyometrics and why they're good for a sprinter

Great question! What were the questions on biomechanics

Great question! What were the questions on biomechanics

There was one on drawing a free body diagram of a shuttlecock at 2 points during its flight and then another question linked to that on why the flight is non- parabolic.
There was a little question in limb kinematics.
Then a question on definition angular momentum and the equation for it
And a question on the conservation of angular momentum for a diver
Also a fluid mechanics one on drag in water and the factors affecting size of drag

TOP 5 worst/wierdest questions
Warm up cool down not much to say about injury for 6 marks
Intrinsic factors HR remenbered only thermo
That graph to draw (i just drew EPOC graph)
5 marks on altitude :frown:
describe college step test
also no energy system or movement analysyis :frown:

also for the muscle fibres one did you just evelate points they already put down
