How are people revising for paper 1?? Is it just mainly vocab, though I feel like there’s no specific vocab needed for paper 1 coz anything can come up right ??

also do past papers. i used to think they are useless but they help with technique. but yeah vocab too. i also have a question that i’ve never been taught how to do a summary does it have to be all your own words or only a few or how similar can it be to the text/listwning

Yeah I have been doing plenty of past papers and noting vocab that I don’t know, how are you revising vocab as in like what websites do you use etc? With the summary it doesn’t have to always be in your words, it’s just manipulating some language eg changing verbs from the first person to the third, nouns to the verb. Hope this helps

Thank you!! I do the same- noting down vocab from past papers because loads of words come up every year so i think that’s the main way for vocab. The textbook is rubbish and the only way is past papers i think. There will always be a word or a few you don’t know but it will trip up loads of people

A good way to learn and revise is by listening to your favourite topics in Spanish podcasts and reading your favourite books. They're full of expressions like "quien no llora no mama", "ni afirmo ni desmiento", "diamante en bruto" or "quien siembra vientos recoge tempestades". You learn how to talk like a native and have some fun at the same time.

Do we think it’s going to be harder than last years paper? I did the 2024 A Level paper for mocks and I did okay on the whole.

I think that all papers are relatively hard in some way or another. If it's harder than last year's, I'm sure the grade boundaries will make up for it. Also, where did you find the 2024 paper? Our teacher hasn't given it to us.

It’s best to ask your teachers for them because the 2024 ones haven’t been released yet online

I wasn’t given it, we were set it as our official mock paper so I don’t have it anymore. Grade boundaries are always super high for Spanish anyways because of native speakers so an easier paper may help.

I feel like I know absolutely no vocab or grammar 😭 I hate how random words can come up that were never in the textbook or anything.
