Oo what came up this year, 2 factor ANova where you had to do further analysis?

Whether a blocking factor was effective or not, yeah

Wilcoxon rank-sum cause I don't think it was paired? Wasn't clear at all I thought

Yeah rank sum for sure if it’s the top 10 it’s unlikely that it’ll be paired unless they’re the exact same people and also had the exact same rank

What did you put for the 22/30 quality assurance one? I think it might have had to have been p=0.5 and p not=0.5

Sorry, just seen your reply - that's smart

I thought about it but it didn't make sense in my head about what to do with the 8 as in what the critical region would be

i did T(+) = 22 and T(-) = 8 so the ts was P(X<7) but no idea if thats right

I did a two sample test for proportion and had Andy’s proportion as 30/30 and matts as 22/30, reckon you could also do a one sample proportion test for matts and take it as P=1 too.

surely if you did that though, the two samples wouldn't be random?

What’s the max marks I’ll get if I did paired signed rank ?

I think it would surely be measuring 30 ‘random instances’ in terms of what the question was asking to be honest just couldn’t think of anything else relevant or accurate to do.

I was struggling too - glad I'm not the only one! That question was evil I thought

For the ANOVA is it still fine to do 1 way ?

Reply 33

What test did u do for the first question?

could you have used p as 0.99 and done exact binomial test because sig level was 1%?

I was also thinking about that but feel like significance level doesn't really relate to the binomial proportion?

It had to be 2 way because there was a blocking factor (the colours)

Reply 36

I did one way for the first question and then two way for the second part

Reply 37

Was the ANOVA 19.12 or 4.57?

Reply 38

What did everyone do for 1B, I didn't have a clue

Reply 39

Did anyone get 2. something in the T test for male and female time taken to pack suitcase?
