Physio placement location and UCAS application

Hi again, just curious about the physiotherapy placements is located nearby your uni or you need to travel to other cities for your placement?(I heard someone who studied in coventry uni needed to go to oxford for his placement), and it would be cost a fortune to an international student🫥

another question is how can I accept the offer through UCAS since i got a conditional offer only, whereas the school told me to accept the offer asap🫨

Email the departments of the unis you have applied to and ask where the placements are held. If you have mitigating circumstances, you might be able to request placements that are closer to your uni.

You do not need to accept your offer asap so ignore the advice your school is giving you. You can only make your firm/insurance decisions once you have received replies from all of the unis you have applied to. Unis have until 14 May to reply to applicants that applied by the January deadline. You have until 4 June to make your firm/insurance decisions.

I am so sorry if i asked some silly questions🥹
I would like to further clarify that my final confirmation of the uni replied in 4 Jun is only included the my firm offer and insurance only?

No question is silly.

Once you have replies from all of the unis you have applied to (offers or rejections), then you can choose your two firm and insurance unis. If you have all of your replies, you can do it now but you do have until 4 June to decide.

Are you still waiting for some of your unis to reply?

thanks for your reply🥹

I have already got the offers from coventry uni, uni of bradford and salford in Bsc physio, and still waiting mmu to give me an interview
or just a reply🤣

And you see I am now confused with those “replies” that I am not familiar with the deadlines. Do I need to complete my conditions to meet my offer before 4th Jun or something else..

No you don't need to complete your conditions by 4 June, you just need to choose your firm and insurance choices. Are your offers conditional because you have yet to take A levels or other exams?

Ohhh i see, to be clear I am a degree holder in Exercise Science, the three universities want my english test result e.g. IELTS and other documents about my previous studies to complete the offers🙌🏻

All I needed is an IELTS or alternative test result. I was wondering how can I prepare and pass the conditions within one to two months since I got the offers😆

But when is the deadline for the conditional offer once I received or should i ask the school?🤨

Good morning @Yuennice 🤗

Congratulations on the offers!

In regards to your question about placements, our university-based clinic provides real world experience; and in your first-year students will use this environment to develop theoretical knowledge and clinical skills. Students will also undertake a range of placements within health and social care; these placements are mostly within the Bradford and Airedale area and students will need to commute to those areas. Some consideration for placement allocations may be made if students have significant disabilities or health problems which require reasonable adjustment.

You can also contact the faculty admissions team who can provide more information about placements and the locations, and also help with your queries related to IELTS/additional test results on [email protected]

I hope this helps, have a lovely rest of the week!

Hello,

Congratulations on receiving an offer from us, we are very excited for you.

Just to clarify the 'deadlines', these are the deadlines of when you need to pick your one firm and one insurance choice out of the 5 Universities you applied for. The deadlines depend on circumstances and they are as follows:

If all your offers are in by May 14, 2025: Your deadline to reply is June 4, 2025.

If your last offer arrives by July 17, 2025: Your deadline to reply is July 23, 2025.

If you're using UCAS Extra: Your deadline to reply is July 23, 2025, regardless of when you received your last decision.

I hope this helps.
Matt ~ Uni of Salford Rep
