Ooh I didn't even think about that. Macbeth's ambition is kick-started by the witches' prophecy and encouraged by Lady Macbeth ah dang it I'm cooked

for christmas carol i wrote abt the portly gentlemen and prize turkey for kindness is that ok???

As long as you can link it efficiently and make some clever comments as the wider concepts then I'd say you're fine

R+J - Can I just say how was Juliet there for the FIFTH time in a row…
Anyways all in all pretty good, I mentioned Capulets and Juliet’s relationship at the beginning then at the end, then mentioned the nurse and Juliet’s relationship, and finished off with the friar and Romeo’s relationship. I used the PETAETACWL structure so I had to write like my life depended on it 😭. I wrote 6 paragraphs, 2 intro, 2 extract, 2 play.
ACC - When I saw that question I genuinely starting levitating up towards the sky.
That was the most broad, beautiful question ever I absolutely answered the most out of that question. I talked about Scrooges kindness at the start compared to the end, then moved onto Fred, then fezziwig. Used PETAETACWL again and wrote 6 paragraphs, 2 intro and conclusion, 2 extract, 2 novella.
All in all I think I did my absolute best I could do and I bet everyone else did too!!
If you’re worrying about your exam there is honestly no point to, you can’t change today but you can change for tomorrow!!

Dead questions for acc and romeo and juliet

yh r and j was bad cuz it wasnt what you would expect the question to be

Reply 366

i accidentally wrote that macbeth saying "be innocent of the knowledge" parallels earlier in the play instead of contrasts. im so scared ive lost marks for that

Guess I kinda messed it up and i feel so stupid. I do Macbeth and jandh. f
MACBETH:
P1 - intiaiylly macbeth as unambitius, due to his loyalty to king Duncan’s (stupid i know) but his latent ambitions are awoken by prophecies. (Disdaining fortune with his brandished steel which smoked with bloody execution and stars hide your fires let not light see my black and depp desires)
P2 - Macbeth’s ambition becomes more prevalent (poisoned chalice quote from extract and i am in blood seeped so far (but i think i wrote quote wrong))
P3 - Macbeth ambition is unchecked leading to downfall (i have no spur to prick the sides of my intent and out out brief candle. Life’s but a walking shadow)
IS THIS THAT BAD… I wanted an 8 but i don’t think its happening do these kinda make sense as points

the paper was not bad at all!
Romeo and juliet - i talked about how he had exclamatory sentences as well as possessive pronouns such as "and you be mine" dehumanising and objectifying her, i talked about the tricolon of hang, beg starve, how it was asynthetic and showed lack of hesitation, how the threats increased in severity and stuff and how it proved his lack of understanding towards her and their very distant relationship

i also compared it to how it contrasts capulet earlier in the book, to when paris asked for capulet if he can marry juliet and he was like "my child is yet a stranger in the world" and how he tells him to woo her, how he clearly had an earlier understanding towards her yet towards act 3 (the extract) when it was peak of tension, the climax, he slowly starting growing more distant and caring just about status and power. i also talked about the nurse and juliets relationship and how she was like a "replacement mother" and how she was a constant source of encouragement andsupport for juliet and how that highlights her and lady capulet's distant relationship.i also talked about how capulet originally wanted juliet to be happy but that changed etc and how she dishonours her family by rejecting power and status.

ACC - i talked about the cartchit's attitudes and how that shapes their life and how their grattitude and kindness is a result of their kindness, exclamatory sentences to show positivity and stuff. i talked about how the ghost of christmas yet to come shows the consequence to scrooge's lack of empathy and kindess, how before he learned kindness, he was constantly described in negative manners and with dehumanising verbs such as "rowled", "barked", "frowned", etc. and how that changes when he learns kindness, how his whole mood chanes and how he says like "i am light as a feather, i am merry as a schoolboy" and stuff like that. i also talked about how this ghost story was aimed to children as they are easiest influentiak and dickens highlights the importance of kindness to them through fear, by showing them how scrooge's actions led to him dying alone and being unhappy etc. i also talked about bob cratchit's grattitude and how he honours scrooge despite how he treats him and how hes grateful and stuff and how that has an impact on people around him as well. also like how his future woulde been a direct consequence of his greed and lack of kindness, but i almost ran out of time.

i hope this makes sense im aiming for a 7 but im so scared it doesnt make sense hahah

i also wrote how when lm calls macbeth a serpent shakespeare may be calling him the snake in the story of origional sin athrough the letter he gives lm who represents eden and that ultimatel makes macbeth the tru vilain

Anyone talk about ROMEO AND JULIET and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE ?? Listening to the amazing questions for Macbeth and acc people makes me a bit

Reply 373

thoughts on r and j? thought it was a nice broad question with a lot to say. anyone do Sherlock Holmes the sign of four? the methodology question was a curveball but maybe could have been worse?

My first one was about the witches being macbeths catalyst for ambition and driving him to success
2nd one was about macbeths ambition and his soliloquy - the extract
3rd one was about how he’s not ambitious because he is manipulated by lady Macbeth to commit the murder

girl i literally wrote the exact same thing bc i revised the supernatural haha

it depends on the person writing more is better but at the same time someone can get a 9 writing 3 pages whilst other will get a 6 while writing 5 pages i think though 4 solid pages are enough
