I'm aiming for a 7/8 too, do you reckon that would be realistic when I've only answered 7 questions? I wrote at least a page for all my answers

Why would they give you 13 questions if you werent meant to answer them? You wouldn't skip most of the questions on a maths exam...?

because there are loads of different texts that schools pick to study, e.g. my school picks macbeth and jekyll and hyde. you need to flick through the entire booklet to find the texts you study and only answer the questions of the text you studied. So for me, I would ignore the Romeo and Juliet question since i didn't study romeo and juliet, for example

Oh, I'm not sure, feel like you write about 9 texts for a grade 9?

Oh that's strange, we read through all the texts at my school to get a basic understanding of each of them. We're just told to answer as many of them in the time as possible

You’re only supposed to answer two of the texts on the exam. Are you actually being serious bc there’s no way you actually managed to write a page on every question?

Of course you can’t write a page for all 13, I think you’ve misunderstood the exam, I only wrote a paragraph for each directly using quotes from the extract and answering the question.

your tutor was 100% wrong. Basically, there's section a which is full of Shakespeare and section b which is full of different 19th century novels. You only pick ONE question from both sections, so two in total, one Shakespeare question to answer and one 19th century novel question to answer. You do not write an answer to all 13 texts in the booklet, you only answer 2 in detail, one on Shakespeare, one on 19th century novel. E.g. if your school studied Macbeth and A Christmas Carol, you ignore all other questions and only answer them two, so idk why your tutor has told you to answer all of them and made you study all texts

Guess I kinda messed it up and i feel so stupid. I do Macbeth and jandh. f
MACBETH:
P1 - intiaiylly macbeth as unambitius, due to his loyalty to king Duncan’s (stupid i know) but his latent ambitions are awoken by prophecies. (Disdaining fortune with his brandished steel which smoked with bloody execution and stars hide your fires let not light see my black and depp desires)
P2 - Macbeth’s ambition becomes more prevalent (poisoned chalice quote from extract and i am in blood seeped so far (but i think i wrote quote wrong))
P3 - Macbeth ambition is unchecked leading to downfall (i have no spur to prick the sides of my intent and out out brief candle. Life’s but a walking shadow)
IS THIS THAT BAD… I wanted an 8 but i don’t think its happening do these kinda make sense as points

as long as you have justified your points with evidence, that's completely fine. In addition, your quotes don't need to be exact. In fact, you can simply get away with referencing the text, and if the wording of quotes isn't 100% correct, that's completely fine. the examiner only cares about what your interpretation is and not if you can fully memorise quotes. And also, looking at your paragraphs, they look pretty decent, as long as you have justified your points, then i don't know why you are panicking because this seems like a decent essay. And also, you didn't make the mistake of answering the whole paper
