AI use in SQA folio

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone used AI last year for their higher English folio and got away with it, or did they get all their marks taken away?

I’ve heard of quite a few people using AI and getting away with it, but the key thing is being smart about it. If you just copy and paste, that’s risky it’s pretty obvious when something doesn’t sound like a student wrote it. But if you use it wisely like for structure, inspiration, or to help with phrasing and then put everything into your own words, you can make it work in your favour. The main thing is not to abuse it. It should guide your work, not do it for you. Ultimately it’s your choice, and I’m not here to say you should definitely use it just be wise with how you go about it. Not saying this is the right thing to do or that schools would be okay with it just sharing what I’ve seen people do

i might be wrong but im pretty sure its the markers that will flag up the essay if they think that it is AI, this will then go under review and be given to the head examiner. However, if you are caught it could affect your grades for all of your subjects so i would be really careful.

yeah its best to play it safe

if you feel its wrong, don't do it, its better to create work that you feel connected to and proud of.

not worth the hassle if you get caught!!!

You reap what you sow… if you get flagged for AI then you have no one else to blame

I would definitely advise against it. If you do decide to use AI on your folio and you get caught, you will get yourself into much more bother than you would have done just writing it yourself. At the end of the day, your folio is supposed to be your personal experiences and writing skills, something that AI lacks.
