How does a foundation year work?

I applied for Diagnostic Radiography but got an offer for Introduction to Therapeutic and Diagnostic Radiography

I was wondering if once I finish the foundation year and hopefully pass, am I automatically given a place or do I have to reapply through UCAS doing all the personal statement things again.

I though I would automatically get a place after passing a foundation course but as no one in my family has done a foundation course, no one knows how it works.

I just need to know if I automatically get a place for the actual degree and if I have to reapply through UCAS again

Thank you

If this Foundation year was offered as an alternative to the normal degree by the university you applied to, then I would assume they are offering an integrated Foundation year degree sort of thing where you continue straight on to the actual course. Why not contact the university and check with them directly though? They will give you a much more straightforward answer.
