Second degree funding for qualified teacher.

Hey,

Can somebody please advise on my situation as I would like to change careers but I have already had (and paid back) ALOT of funding.

I have completed:
BAhons degree.
MA degree
PGCE with QTS in secondary English.

So currently, I am a secondary school English teacher but would like to study
Psychology (Counselling) BSc (Hons) at the University of Northampton starting either September 2025 or 2026.

Would I get second degree funding for this course, as I am not sure if it is classed as allied healthcare. Also, would it make a difference to funding if I did it part time or full time?

Hi beerayment,

Psychology on it's own is an exception to previous study and equal level qualification rules if it is studied part time.

Thanks, Clare
