Student finance for a second degree

I have an undergraduate and masters degree in an unrelated subject but I want to study Biomedicine BSc at Birkbeck. Would I get funding for this degree, is it an exception course?

That would not be an exception course however, I can confirm that Biological Science is a course which is an exception to previous study and equal level qualification rules if studied part time.

Hi I'm now considering doing Psychology at Birkbeck part time they've listed it as an ELQ exception course but would this mean I could get a tuition and maintenance loan from student finance?

Hi BottleStripes,

Psychology is a course that is an exception if studied part time. You can apply for the Tuition Fee Loan and Maintenance Loan if you are studying a minimum of 25% intensity part time and will be attending the course in person.
