Psychology Magazine

Hi I'm a 1st year A-Level Psychology student, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any psychology magazines that would be good to read?

Hi, I subscribe to The Psychologist which is the magazine for the British Psychological Society. I like it because it doesn't clutter up my inbox and the studies it includes are really interesting. There's also an app and podcast if you prefer other formats!
Hello,

What a great question! Magazines are a great place to start, but you could also consider reading academic articles on areas you are interested in. This will give you evidence of extra reading that you can use in your persona statement when applying to university. We commonly use Google Scholar to search for articles - just type in a few key words about something you are interested in! This will give you great early practice of reading scientific pieces of writing and should also help with your learning of research methods. Beyond that, podcasts are great. One of senior lecturers Dr Calum Hartley recently appeared on 'The Smooth Brain Society' to discuss his research into Autism.

Happy reading!
