NHS learning support fund
Has anyone applied for the NHS LSF and applied without a student loan?
I qualify due to the allied health course I have an offer for & im a UK citizen etc. I would qualify for Student Loan but I don’t want one.
Since applying for NHS LSF I’ve been asked for lots of extra documents as I’m not going for the student loan. Really hoping I’m not being penalised & looking for some positive stories of others who have had the LSF without student loan.

The alternative route is to apply for student finance to show the NHS LSF that you are eligible but then decline it before term starts.

Hey - how did you get on with this? I think I will be in the same position as will be applying for the LSF but don't want to take a student loan so wondering if you were successful?

Yes all was fine. No student loan and LSF approved fine, they just asked for a written statement such as “I am using my savings to fund my course”.
