Hi @jojooo_2456

CIE Biology can feel like an absolute maze when you don’t know where to start, especially without the textbook. But don’t worry, it’s completely doable, even with limited resources.

You can start by going straight to the syllabus on the Cambridge website. It’s free and basically your Bible for what you actually need to know. It breaks the whole course into topics and subtopics, so you can use it as a checklist to track your progress and make sure you’re covering everything.

Then, start with free resources. There are loads of YouTube channels like Miss Estruch, and Science with Hazel that cover CIE content. Search topic by topic (e.g. “CIE A Level Biology cell membranes”) and learn from those. You can also find free notes and revision guides online. By simply googling “CIE biology a level revision notes PDF” and look for resources from places like Physics & Maths Tutor, Save My Exams (some free stuff), and ZNotes.

When you go through a topic, don’t just passively read or watch. Write short summary notes in your own words or make flashcards. Then, start doing past paper questions topic by topic.

You don’t need a fancy textbook, just the syllabus, a way to access videos/notes, and some consistency.

Rooting for you!
