for USA 1F, people have predicted immigration, living standards and potentially black civil rights: but does anybody know how likely pop culture and society are likely to come up? i feel like everyone skips that topic but they may well ask about it this year

does anyone know what the timings should be like for each question?

Marks are 20, 20, 20 - so on that basis 45 mins per question. If you want to allow yourself a bit more time to read your extracts then 43, 43, 49 would be my suggestion. But I'd say it's easier to score higher on a paper by producing 2 excellent essays and an okay extract than it is to try to maximise the section C and have a rushed A and B. That's a personal thing though and you should do what you're most comfortable with.

For 1C section b, could they do 2 topic 4 questions or 2 topic 3 questions? I barely know topic 4...

Yeah other than the time they asked a comparison question with Cromwell

‘the extent to which republican rule (1649-60) was different from the personal rule of Charles I (1629-40). ´

Hi, the best structure is: INTRO (answer the question, give your two factors supporting the question, then two against it, and conclude briefly saying WHY your side is right). 4 MAIN (one paragraph for each factor, aim for maybe 2x evidence in each, analyse each piece of evidence by showing exactly how it links to the question and supports the factor. also, try to 'limit' the side you don't agree with- 'however this is limited because' at the end of those 2 paragraphs. CONCLUSION (restate your argument as in your intro, but with a more judgemental tone and use the most compelling 'because' points to summarise effectively. It's never too late!

Does anyone know how to structure a really good source question answer? I wanna get an A*or A really badly but the only thing stopping me is the source question because I had an orthodontist apt every time my teacher went through it😞💔💔
