What do you think made you stand out for a lvl 6 degree apprenticeship?

I’m a gap year student trying to get into a degree apprenticeship (dts more specifically) and want to know what made you stand out during ur application and how did u achieve it?

Having an interesting story/experience helps. My son has been applying to solicitor apprenticeships and he got called up for Jury service and ended up with an eight week trial of multiple offenders. He's used the experience to write insightful applications and he's definitely got further this year (his 3rd round) in applications. Do something "extra" this summer to make you stand out. Hope that helps.

A majority of people I know got the position through a internship experience in my opinion. A longer than normal work experience in a related area could be all the difference and mean the difference between you and others. Taking stuff you’ve learnt and exhibiting these skills shows a general but knowledgeable idea of the role which does help and shows you have at least some dedication.

1.Would u say virtual experience would also get me that edge? (Its easier to get those than in person ones)
2. Exhibiting skills example could doing a self project on it?
