Cardiff University Architectual Studies 2025

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there is a list on what supplies to buy before starting the architecture course at Cardiff Uni. Also, what sort of laptop to get in order to last me the whole course.

Hiya!

Great question! So my housemate does Architecture, and so I asked her haha! She said that they do actually give you a supplies kit at the start, with pretty much everything you need, and then I think after that supplies will kind of depend on what you want and what projects you are doing, but for now I wouldn't worry!
For the laptop, gaming computers often are quite strong especially with handling design programmes and making renders, but my housemate has a regular computer and she has been ok. I also am doing Urban Design now in my masters, and was worried about this as well, I went to a computer shop with my computer and just asked them if they thought it could handle more programmes and processing speed and such.
