Crash Advanced Higher

I have a dilemma. I currently have no higher physics. However, I need Advanced higher for college. If I self taught myself Higher over the summer(which I know is possible). Plus providing my school with the evidence through past papers and notes, would they allow me even a trial period in which I could prove myself. I have heard of people doing it. However, any information would help.
