Yeah I did. Not quite sure whats going on with it at the moment. I asked if there was an update at the beginning of april and they said there was a delay in sending out interview invites (and so the 7th of April deadline to hear back wasnt going to be held to).

No update since so im not sure what's going on.

Do you know if the interviews are very competitive?

I can't remember off the top of my head but I think I read there was about 220 applications for 4/5 places last year, so yes

Nope, Scotland doesn't used the STP, they used their own programme for medical physics and clinical engineering (Scottish Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Training Scheme (SMPCETS)) which leads to registration via equivalence.

Oh yes, sorry, I have applied for it. I thought we were automatically rejected because it stated in the advert that only successful candidates would be contacted for an interview. If you have not been contacted by 7th April 2025 you will have been unsuccessful.

Yeah, that's why I started to look into it. I thought I was already rejected, so I moved on with my life and forgot about it, lol.

Yeah I've also sort of forgotten about it. I'm presuming they've moved forward but not certain

FYI I do now have confirmation they have already sent out all of the interview invitations and if you haven't heard then you are unsuccessful.

For people on here applying next year - I was invited for interview on April 17.

So not hearing first week of April is not unusual.

The scheme is extremely competitive, you will be competing against people with PhDs, experience in the NHS, and those already with the MSc completed. Often it's >200 applicants whether there is 1 position or 7. Many people do apply and interview multiple times before getting in.

If you didn't hear back this year, don't give up but keep working on your skills and application.
