Access to HE predicted grade - vet med application

Hi there

I am now starting my Access to HE vet science course to prepare for my vet med application due in Oct 2025.

I am doing my course with LearnDirect.
From my understanding, I would have to complete 5 modules for a reference letter and 9 modules for predicted grades.

Has anyone applied without predicted grades with access to HE? I am contemplating if I should quit my 9-5 to fully pursue this and finish the 9 modules asap or study at a moderate speed

I have and still got offers although UCL rejected me for not having predicted grades but because you're doing a more competitive degree I would say get predicted's and you can definitely do 9 units by October without quitting your job you should be able to do the first 4/5 modules within a month they're not difficult and are ungraded

You can apply with predicted grades for Access to HE, that's no problem. However, as far as I'm aware, the LearnDirect course isn't accepted by most vet schools (or any that I'm aware of) due to there not being a practical component.

This may have changed since I applied to vet school with an Access Diploma, but I would recommend you email the admissions teams for the vet schools to check that your course would be considered.

I applied and was offered 2 places without predicted grades in my A2HE… ensure the vet schools you apply to accept this as an entry… but you have plenty of time to get to module 9, don’t panic
