Apprenticeship this year or wait? (Wanting advice)

So I’m in a bit of a predicament, I applied to numerous apprenticeships this year and my top 2 places have selected me a reserve candidates (business admin level 3 and project management level 6 apprenticeships). I also applied to various others and I’ve been offered a level 2 customer service advanced apprenticeship but I’m not sure if I should take this or not.

The predicament I’m in is should I take this now (it’s a 1.5 year apprenticeship) or should I decline and try again for the apprenticeships I want when they reopen for next year? What would everyone else do in this situation? (Just looking for some advice!)

I’m not sure if I should take it so I have something or continue searching and trying next year.

Also I’m worried that I’ll be “too old” to be considered for a new apprenticeship after this one (I’d be 22) in the subjects I like

Age isn’t assessed in interviews.
Though, it may be you have different financial circumstances at 22 that can’t be covered by an apprenticeship wage.

I started mine at 22 and I was one of the youngest. Lots of ex military and people retraining or doing courses for promotions.

For apprenticeships, the quality of the employer is everything. Don’t accept one for the sake of it. Make sure they’ll invest in your development. If you have the option to do L6, go for that, but apply for everything that you can be passionate about.

I would say go with your interest. Level 2 only if the others don't pan out. You can do successive apprenticeships as long as they are different levels and subjects. The degree apprenticeship is the best of the crop here
