Maths numerical methods- radians or degrees?

Could anyone explain why these should be done in radians and not degrees? I understand that if it was the newton raphson method I would have to use radians but for just subbing in values does it always have to be in radians for iterative methods unless stated otherwise?

The intervals of interest and the graph x-axis pretty much gives that theyre radians. So for iterative methods, Id expect radians unless degrees are explicitly stated.

Would I have to work out where the translated graph would cross the x axis and see if that is in the interval and then decide to use radians or degrees or can I just assume it unless they state degrees?

Mentioning about the graphs / intervals was almost a throwaway. Questions like this would normally be radians.
