Reduced Rate Maintenance Loan

I’m currently a fourth year medical student and next year I will be intercalating at an external university. I am trying to wrap my head around the applications. I know I can get the NHS bursary for my tuition fees and I think I can get the reduced rate maintainence loan from SFE, but I cannot figure out if the application process is the same as the previous years. Do you have to do something special to apply for the reduced rate or just complete the application as normal and they will sort it from their end?
Thanks for any help

Hi Jess,

It automatically assess you for this once you submit the application and it's processed. Thanks, Jason
