Can I get into Medicine MBBS from getting an Applied Medical Sciences BSc?

Hi, I have been given an offer for Applied Medical Sciences BSc for this year. Can I do Medicine after completing a degree like this? Or even go into Medicine after only 1/2 years in applied? I know people do the same with a Biomedical Sciences BSc - even if its only a select few that actually get to study medicine.
Thank You!

You can apply to graduate medicine after a BSc. Some unis have specific degree requirements, whilst some are open to any degree, you need to check on each website. I haven't heard of anyone transferring after 2 years of another degree. In the case of transferring from biomed, this as you say is very competitive. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I'll go check out the unis website but I'm most likely just going to reapply to Medicine next year and hopefully get straight into it, so I don't have to waste 3 years on a degree I don't really want. Fingers crossed for med next year. 🤞
