English Lit

guys you know in the extract you get given for paper 1 english lit (aqa), how much quotes should you write about from the extract and how much from the rest of the play/ how much of your essay should be talking about the extract to get a grade 9? also, what should you do if you havent prepapred for any of the quotes that are in the extract/you dont know how to analyse them well- is it fine if you just analyse one quote from the extract if you want to get a high grade, or is it not enough? also, if you want to get grade 9 how much quotes should i analyse altogether in my essay? (sorry for asking so many questions)

Yea as long as you have at least one quote from the extract you should be fine. If you don’t know any of the quotes, maybe try and find one that has a good language device you can talk about eg metaphor or simile etc or something that you can talk contextually about. In total, I’d say probably analyse at least 3 or 4 quotes.
