Turnitin submission error

My assignment was due on the 09th April but I was away so I put in a claim for Extenuating Circumstances which was then approved and the new deadline was 11:30pm on 24th April - which was last night.

I went to submit at around 11:28pm (which was terrible I know!) and realised that I hadn’t received a confirmation email to which I checked again and it didn’t go through so I tried again and then it resulted in an error.

I did send it to my module leader, seminar tutor, and my tutor and even the IT service desk to which no one has resolved this.

My module leader told me to tell IT and IT said there’s nothing they can do and to tell my module leader ??

I’m just so confused as I know it was stupid of me to leave it so late but I usually do submit my assignments around that same time and nothing like this has happened before.

I even have proof from my PC that I tried submitting at 11:28pm.

Is there anything I can do to salvage this as I’m in my final year and I really don’t want it to be affected by this??

Please please please let me know.

You can still salvage this dont worry!

Considering you have proof of the submission, you acted with reason and responsibility, the system has failed not you!

i would put all your proof into a file incase you need it and possibly submit a fromal appeal if it affects your marks and doesn't get resolved.

Hopefully they accept the submission and resolve the issue soon.

Right now i would send another calm and foward email summarising the situation to your module leader, course director and academic advisor or tutor, explain how you have emailed IT and It told you to email your module leader which you had already done and how that didn't help.

My name is Siobhan and I’m a third-year student at the University of Central Lancashire. Try not to panic, this stuff happens and you’re not the only one who has gone through this. I have gone through this recently so I can understand the stress!

Since you have had no response from your module lead and IT, I would contact your course lead and show them the proof of submitting your assignment before the deadline. When it happened to me, I also mentioned in my email that I had mitigating circumstances so you might find it helpful to add that in?

I would definitely email IT again and explain what your module lead has suggested. You could also see if there are any guidelines available on your uni page of what to do. I hope it gets sorted and please let me know if I can help in any other way😊
