Oh wow there’s nobody here yet. I’m kind of nervous for the exam since it’s my first and all, but hoping i’ll do alright.

Anybody know how much detail you need for dtp questions? specific the multiple part ‘how the designer uses depth, how the designer uses shape’ etc etc type ones. I’m also taking art and i get confused about what you can talk about here and whether you need to go into detail about the effect/function

Good Question! From looking at the marking schemes, sometimes it will say describe a technique or it will say to explain a technique, for describe you usually just have to state where it is shown, e.g to describe rhythm: the designer has used a drop cap at the start of piece of body text. But for explain you need to describe it at what effect it causes. e.g explain proportion: the designer has made every image the same size meaning no image stands out creating a balanced layout.

Its my first exam too then chemistry right after X_X

I think it was okay! thankfully i had revised hatching
But also WHAT WAS THAT MESH/SPATIAL AWARENESS QUESTION dude i redid that like 50 times i hate that little box so much. I got distracted by the dogs for a little bit and also had nothing to say for the transparency question. I’ve kind of forgotten the rest.
Anyone any thoughts?
