Electronic Engineering: Nottingham, York or Surrey?

I am looking for some advice on which university to choose as my firm choice for Electronic Engineering. I have similar offers (grades) from Nottingham, Surrey and York and have attended taster days at each one.
I really liked the feel of the campus at York, while the department at Nottingham was impressive. Surrey was good but felt small in comparison.
I would appreciate a little help on which is the best option. Many Thanks

Congratulations to your offers.

You like Nottingham's EE Department, York's campus and found Surrey's campus a bit small. It seems in your mind Nottingham and York is a bit ahead of Surrey? Electronic engineering has very demanding curriculum maybe you'll spend most of the time in the department/lab. So I would choose Nottingham if I were you. Purely personal preference.

Do follow your own preference.

From the perspective of industrial reputation, industry connections & research, Nottingham is definitely the strongest, particularly if you have any interests in EEE applications in renewable energy technologies, power systems, aerospace applications or electric machines.

Nottinghams EEE department has some areas of world leading research & expertise.

Surrey & York are very similar reputation wise. Of course there is a lot more to choosing a university then prospects & academics.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the feel of our campus that sense of belonging can be really important when choosing where to study.

Nottingham easily. Highest research rating, highest entry standards, of the 3. Didn't its campus impress you too? It's arguably one of the very most beautiful universities in the UK and one of the most consistently respected. It's 10th in the UK for this subject, according to Edurank. Surrey is 15th, York 21st.

You would be very high risk of automatic rejection, GCSEs are normally non-negotiable, by all means (I strongly recommend) email admissions and ask the question before applying but i suspect you would be rejected unless you have a stronger A-level mathematics score, this might give you additional consideration but still worth reaching out before applying.

Engineering is a lot of mathematics, in particular calculus, linear algebra, complex numbers etc. especially at degree level.
