i got sinx = 2/3 and just used my calculator to solve 🫠

I’ve totally messed it up. I remember doing 2cosx(3sinx + 2cosx) = 0 and then I solved the 2cosx into 90 and 270, and then didn’t understand how to solve the other part 😭

The second part goes like this:

3sinx + 2 =0

3sinx=-2

RAA = sin inverse of (2/3)

Then you do 360 - whatever the RAA was

And then 180 + whatever the RAA was

But because you factorised correctly and got the first part right I think you'll get 2/4.

Yeah I think that should be good and it would have been no firther solutions anyways because it has to be less than 360

What did you guys get for the Circles equation and radius in paper 2?

Ye it was pretty weird. I did a min TP at -5, and a max TP at 2 which touched the x axis but didn’t cross it. All below x axis (apart from the second TP)

That's a double root bro

That's a double root bro

Ye I was thinking that in the exam but couldn't work out what else to do. I think it might've still been what they meant, as both solutions would be the same so really only one

I got radius as 8 and centre as (-1,3) I think

OMG SAME BUT I SPENT LIKE 20 MINS ON IT I ended up using pyrhagoras and guessing the points count be either 3,4 or 4,3 making the centre - 2,2 or - 1,3 but I ended up choosing the latter

You probably drew a quartic graph every x^odd number always goes from positive infinite to negative infinity which means the whole thing could not have been under the x axis

Can you quickly draw and picture of the shape of the polynomial you drew

I can't post pictures on mobile bit it came from the negative x axis and positive y then to the local minima at - 5 then it went up to - 2 maximum but didn't touch the axis then it went down sgain

I meant it's only below in the bit we were drawing (-10 to 10). Beyond this it would go above.Untitled design (4).png
