In Year 10 and struggling for any ideas for my hpq

I did my HPQ and got an A*. Mine was on who invented jazz bc it was a topic I was very familiar with and I could answer many questions if not all given to me during my presentation. You should probably not choose a topic you barely know as that will lead to more hours, stress, research and overall your not set up for an easy experience. You should do a topic you are decently familiar with and then heavily elaborate on it using many sources [i used around 10 if i remember correctly] and making sure your using quote marks for someone elses word if not paraphrased. Lmk if u need anymore help or have anymore questions 😊

Hi! I did an EPQ which is slightly different but focusses on similar skills. My biggest advice would be to choose something you areinterested or passionate in (I know that sounds useless). This kind of project has to be something you can argue for or talk a lotabout without getting bored or running out of things to say. It honestly depends what you're interested in. I did my EPQ on theethical and legal issues raised by saviour siblings. I take A-Level Bio and I was really interested in medical ethicals law andpsychological outcomes of children who donate blood or bone marrow to their sibling (thats what a saviour sibling is. If you've seenmy sister's keeper thats essential it).

I know other people who were interested in sport did a discussion on equality in men andwomen's sport. Someone in my year even did a design/ artefact on the best mountain/ off road bike he could come up with andreasons for each part and he got an A* for that.

Biggest take away is think of something your interested in like say football and you could come up with a football boot design thatsdifferent for men and women due to their anatomy or something potentially with opinions like should commercial surrogacy belegal across the world so you could argue both sides and come up with a conclusion and opinion for why.Choose a subject or topic you're interested in and do some digging!!
