High Holborn Advice - LSE Accomm for 1st Year

Hi guys, I'm looking at High Holborn's accomm as it's quite close to the LSE campus and seems to be in a relatively safe area. However, I can't get over how the inside of the dorms look - especially as I know they rent out rooms like a hotel, I'm worried it won't truly feel like home and will instead feel more hostel/hotel-like. Would anyone living at High Holborn be able to weigh in on this please? I of course understand that when I'm moved in with my bedding/minimal decorations etc it'll feel nicer but compared to other halls, it just doesn't feel very dorm-like/homey. I'm also considering Urbanest and Passfield, but they're a bit further away from campus and a 32-week contract respectively whereas HH is very close and offers a 39-week contract, which is why I would really like to book it but am just a bit unsure based on the pics of the rooms/kitchen/etc that I've seen. Many thanks in advance!

Are you a Home student? If so, then strongly consider Passfield.

yes i'm a home student! tbh passfield seems nice but i'd honestly much rather be able to leave my stuff in my room over the holidays even though it's a bit of a waste of money... so i'm still trying to figure out if it's worth it.. do u have any opinions on urbanest??

Urbanest will be full of international students, and you might not be able to make new friends as easily. Because they tend to form friendships with their nationals. ☹️

However, if you like excellent accommodation, then look no further:

24/7 on-site support team

Electronic key fob entry system

CCTV on-site

Disabled access

Communal relaxing & study areas

High-quality memory foam mattress

Desk & chair

Luxury shower room

Kitchen with microwave & oven combo, fridge & freezer, and dishwasher

Ironing board

Lounge area

Underfloor heating
