What unis could I get into with my gcse grades?

Okay, so with a combination of involuntary early gcses and a lack of revision, i think i am currently looking at 99988888777 grades at gcse. Is this close to enough for Russell group unis? Or should i lock in so i have a chance? If anyone could lmk the average gcses for Bristol uni applicants i'd be really grateful for that too. Thanks

Those GCSEs are very good and don't think would restrict your university options, universities care much more about your UCAS application and your A-level grades.

If you look at an individual course page on any University website, the entry requirements for each course may specify certain GCSE grades required - typically Maths and/or English, depending on degree subject

'Top' Unis will also usually score your overall GCSE profile (top 5 or top 8 grades depending on the Uni or subject) as part of their assessment, however this usually forms a very small part of the overall weightings - A level grades, Personal Statement and any required entrance test will always be far more important.

Bristol publishes the exact 'weightings' they use to score applications for each degree subject - many other Universities don't. Look in the relevant 'Admissions Statement' - Admissions statements | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol. As examples - Aerospace Engineering is GCSE 20% | A-Level 80%, Modern Languages is GCSE 30% | A-Level 70%.
